Being seen, being heard, feeling felt and getting gotten.
Life is so much about being seen and being heard, feeling felt and getting gotten. I heard this once and it’s stuck with me forever, helping to create a tag line for what we do at Horse Connect.
When we get those things it helps us become more resilient, more able to face the stresses and challenges of our world.
Horses are an integral part of the many challenges that Jack and I have had so far along our journey of life.
We NEED to share them with you. To give YOU a chance to be helped by spending time with our horses.
Whether you need a supportive space to explore stress, overwhelm, vonfidence, connection and life’s challenges, the horses are there for you. Need help with family communication, or corporate leadership? The horses can teach you. Need to find yourself again, or just have fun? The horses will inspire and uplift you.
You will be SEEN, be HEARD, and be ACCEPTED here.
Your horse connection is only 20 minutes from the town of Lacombe. 30 minutes from Sylvan Lake, Red Deer, Rimbey and Ponoka.
You will feel yourself relax as you enjoy the beautiful drive to the farm. Views of Gull Lake, the Rocky Mountains and growing grain fields will prepare you for your hands on time with the horses.
Whether it’s grief support, corporate team building, or life skills building, time spent with our horse teachers is guaranteed to create long lasting results.

The Horse-Human Connection
There’s something special about being around a horse. They are incredibly aware of what’s happening around them and respond to our body language, energy, and emotions—without judgment.
That honest response can help us notice things about ourselves that we might not see in everyday life. As you build a relationship with a horse, you have a chance to slow down, be present, try something new, and learn about yourself in a safe and supportive environment. The connection you make with a horse can open the door to confidence, self-awareness, and personal growth—one small moment at a time.

A Journey Toward Self-Awareness and Resilience
Sometimes, it helps to have a little space to slow down, feel what you’re feeling, and figure out what you need. Horses offer that space without judgment or expectations. As you spend time with them, you may begin to notice how you communicate, respond to challenges, set boundaries, and connect with others.
The relationship you build with a horse is unique to you. Their honest, gentle responses can help you see yourself in new ways and create opportunities to work through grief, anxiety, stress, or other challenges. Rather than telling you what to do, the horses invite you to discover your own answers. These simple, meaningful experiences can create insights that stay with you long after you leave the farm.
